CONGRESS CENTRES OUTSIDE PRAGUE

Congress Centres outside of the Capital Brno, the most significant town of Moravia (Moravia - in the historical context and administration-wise next to Bohemia the second part of the existing Czech Republic), characterised by the silhouette of the Spilberk fortress, is a renowned town of fairs with the exhibition ground of 193,000 square m (of which 101,000 square meters are made up of closed pavilions). Hradec Kralove, the eastern Bohemia metropolis, offers the exquisitely fitted Addis centre with a total capacity of 3,000 persons. Hradec Kralove offers several quality hotels. Often, the chateau is used for big events of social character and also has the eldest steeplechase course in the Czech Republic in the near-by town, Pardubice. Western-Bohemian Plzen (Pilsen) is an industrial town with a brewing tradition similar to southern-Bohemian CeskeBudejovice.

The historic town Olomouc, the erstwhile seat of archbishops, or the mining town Ostrava are at the same time the industrial centres of Moravia. The Ostrava congress complex, Atom, is well prepared for holding assorted events. Not only large town agglomerations can serve as venues of large congresses and fairs. Such centres are available in the Czech Republic also in the midst of nature - poetic historical little towns, former monasteries, Middle-Ages castles or romantic chateaux. Such sites with large hotel complexes are located for instance in Sumava, Cesky Les and Krkonose (all of them mountain ranges).
